CAN FCT gets new Chairman, promises bliss to its members


The newly elected Chairman of Christain Association of Nigeria, (CAN) FCT Chapter, REV Timothy Amakom (JP) has promised members of Christians within the Federal Capital Territory of his determination and resolve to continue to make CAN FCT a better place for them to belong and worship God.

He gave this assurance over the weekend in his acceptance speech presented during his inaguration as the newly elected chairman among other executives held at National Christain Center, Abuja.

According to him, his tenure which spans for 5 years will vigorously pursue A 7-point agenda which include building developmental projects such as the CAN secretaraite, carrying out sensitization workshops and seminars to boost the leadership capacity of CAN FCT, it’s wings and members at all levels as well as engage in inter-bloc fellowship to help foster peace and unity among all churches just as our Lord Jesus Christ prayed that we may be A one in the book of John 17.

Others are: aggresively pursue more pilgrimage slot to enable more of us visit the Holy site so as to have the spiritual feeling of God’s touch in additon to organizing prayer and rural Evangelism towards fulfilling the great commission of our Lord Jesus Christ.

” I will also ensure good and harmonious working relationship with government and other relevant agencies including International Organisations towards promoting peace, security and lives of Nigeria citizens in addition seeking economy and empowerment skill to better the lives of the indigent, vulnerable and downtrodden amongst us”
He however appeal for members maximum cooperation to ensure the successful implementation of the plans aimed at repositioning CAN FCT for a better projection of God’s work.

“Our doors will be widely open to receive constructive ideas and initiatives that will promote and improve the general well being of every member under the umbrella of this great Association”.

He however commemnded the immediate past executives led by Rev Jonah Samson and Bishop Mike Akpami respectively for their unwavering support and efforts in the affairs of God that culminated in the quality leadership they demonstrated in FCT CAN during their tenure ‘ I pray GOD to bless you All.

“And finally, I want also thank my PA, Prophetess Ibeneme Ebelechukwu for being there in helping me ensure I succeed in my administration right from my bloc (OAIC), may God also bless you abundantly.
