2023 election: OAIC youths holds convention; urges Nigerian youths to shun violence during election

The YOUTH Wing of the Organization of African Instituted Churches, (OAIC) North Central Zone & FCT has called on Nigerian youths to shun all forms of violence and avoid being use as thugs during the forth coming elections.

The Chairperson of the group, Prophetess Ibeneme Ebelechukwu made this call while presenting her welcome address during the Organization convention tagged “The Role of youths In Times Like This” held over the weekend in Abuja.

According to her, Nigerian youths must been seen as agent of growth and development to the nation and do all within their reach to protect and promote the unity, peace and stability of the country.

She added that the event which was first of its kind to be organized by the zone is designed primarily to take a look at the role of the youths and how possible best those roles will contribute postively to the stability of the nation.

“The youths are expected to advance the current technology, education, politics and peace of the country through active participation in politics, governance of the country hence the hostibg of the convention to carefully empowered them to play a vital role in their development.”

“I therefore enjoin all youths irrespective of your tribe and religions to be law and abiding citizen and avoid all forms of social vices that might stamped your growth and development in the society, particularly in this period of election, we must be seen as tool for positive change and not for destruction.

“We must conduct ourselves in a godly manner that will depict our readiness to lead and take this country to a greater height.

“Do not engage in ballot paper snatching and don’t allow your self to be use as tool for destruction. We must live and act in peace. Nigeria is our country and as such we must do all within our powers to keep it safe all the time”.
