2023 Census: Ensure you are counted, NPC tells FCT residents

Residents of Federal Capital Territory, FCT) have been called upon to make themselves available and ensure they are counted during the forth-coming National census slated in the month of May 2023.

The FCT Federal Commissioner of the Commission, Hon.Joseph Shazin Kwali made this call yesterday in Abuja while declaring open A One-day workshop organized for members of Census Publicity and Advocacy Committee in FCT.

According to him, allowing themselves to be counted during the census will help government know the needed social amenities and developmental infrastructure they all deserve as Nigerians as well provide the same for them.

He added that the forth coming census has no religious or ethnicity undertone as widely speculated noting that questionaire that will be administer during the execercise has been developed to help them articulate their needs properly when they answer the questions.

” I want to assure all of us that the questionaires are clear, direct and purely for developmental purposes and has nothing do with tribe or any other purposes so fill it to help government serve you better.”

The Commissioner also assured that 2023 census will produce not only accurate, reliable and acceptable data but also an inclusive and use friendly data that will be used by all segments of the society for development planning and critical programme interventions.
