The Chief Medical Director/ Chief Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon of Alliance Hospital Dr. Christopher Otabor has expressed the readiness of its hospital to continue to improve the life and general well being of Nigerian patients especially those who patronize their hospital.
Dr. Otabor disclosed this on Friday in the hospital premises in Abuja when he hosted the newly elected Executives officers and members of the Association of Nigerian Health Journalists, (ANHEJ) to a dinner party.
According to him the hospital has remained steadfast and unshaken in provision of right and affordable medical services since its inception in 2011 and it is positioned to continue to offer interrupted medical services towards making Nigeria a vibrant health sector for attraction and medical tourism.
Otabor while conducting health journalists round the hospital premises, maintaind that said that the vision of Alliance Hospital since its inception in 2011 remains interrupted and will continue to find solutions to curbing all sort of pandemics and diseases Nigeria.
” Medical tourism is often talked about in Nigeria, but there is no solution, so when the opportunity came in 2014, the Alliance Hospital set its goal to provide efficient health care and to prevent medical tourism in the country.”
HE added that Alliance hospital has successfully carried out 27 kidney Transplants in Nigeria devoid of complications in addition to marrying carried out IVF on over 60 women, “23 complex spine surgeries, 27 joint replacement surgery, 16 Brain surgery, among others, he further added.
Dr. Otabor also disclosed the hospital’s plan to build a 200 hospital capacity bed with a University of Medical Science side by side facilities noting that Alliance hospital remains the first indigenous hospital to achieve this standard in the health sector.
HE however pledged the hospital’s resolve to provide support to ANHEJ ACTIVITES and programmes and commended health journalists for high level of professionalism they always diaplay in their reportage adding that they remain as important as the minister of Health which the society cannot afford to miss ” and so you ought to hold the Government and the minister accountable for the health of the people.
